Gen Singh, who arrived in Srinagar on Monday, called on Vohra at the Raj Bhavan.

"During their more than one and a half hour meeting, the chief of army staff also discussed issues pertaining to the infiltration from across the Line of Control (LOC) and the international border and the likely security scenario in the state in the coming months," an official statement issued here said.

The governor also thanked the army chief for the excellent work done and being done by the army in the wake of the recent disaster in Leh.

Over 186 dead bodies have so far been recovered in Leh and adjoining villages where a cloudburst caused havoc earlier this month.

Over 200 people are still missing and relief and rescue operations are on in the area.

Earlier in the day, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General Vikram Srivastava called on Vohra at the Raj Bhavan.
