While a Lt Colonel of Army was killed and three other Armymen injured in an accident at Dever Pattan, four persons were critically injured in a Sumo accident at Pampore. A Constable of CRPF was also injured in an accidental fire at Nigeen.
Police said that an Army vehicle bearing Regt No: 04B-0873734 skidded off the road near Dever Crossing, under the jurisdiction of P/S Pattan, resulting in injuries to four Army personnel of 150Bn Territorial Army. The injured were hospitalised in 92 Base Hospital, where Lt Colonel KK Donghi succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
One Sumo vehicle bearing Regt No: JK03/3809, which was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar, was hit by one unidentified vehicle near Joinery Mills Pampore on National highway.
Driver of the said Sumo along with three passengers were critically injured in the accident, who were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard and investigations have been taken up.
A CRPF Constable, identified as Jogesh Yadav of 137Bn, got injured due to an accidental fire, while performing his duties at Main gate of Nigeen Club. The injured has been hospitalised and investigations have been taken up by the police.

Meanwhile a workman of the Uri Hydel project has been found dead under suspicious circumstances, while working at Main access tunnel of the project.
Workman Javeed Iqbal rather s/o Noor-ud-Din of Gundoo Doda died under suspicious circumstances, when he was operating the watering pump at Main Access tunnel of Uri Hydel Project.
Police has taken up investigations and inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated in the matter.
