A local court here has issued non-bailable warrants against Bharatiya Kisan Union president Mahendra Singh Tikait and his son Naresh for failing to appear before it in a case relating to violence during 2005 farmer's agitation.

The additional chief judicial magistrate Vikas Goel yesterday also directed the police to produce them before it on February 26.
According to the prosecution, the police had registered a case against Tikait and his son for indulging in violence during a farmer agitation here in 2005.
