Social Justice and empowerment minister Krishan Kumar Bedi has said the reason of Sirsa's backwardness and non-development was Ashok Tanwar, state president of Congress Committee.
Bedi said this while addressing the media persons in Sirsa on Friday. He said Tanwar had disputes with former home minister Gopal Kanda due to that Sirsa people did not saw any development in the city.
Earlier, Tanwar use to be with former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda but after becoming state president, he started doing things against him.
He congratulated the Panihari villagers for their achievement in making the bridge on the Ghaggar river. The villagers have given a tough lesson to Tanwar and former CM Hooda by building this bridge. The villagers will be given respect by chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, he added.
Tanwar protest against BJP
Meanwhile, Congress workers staged a 'dharna' led by Ashok Tanwar outside the mini-secretariat here on Friday against anti-people policies of the BJP and corruption in municipal corporation. Tanwar, while addressing the party workers said, the BJP was not fulfilling the promises they made to the locals. They demanded arrest of accused persons in the corruption case of the MC as soon as possible.
He said the BJP still has not introduced a single development project in Sirsa.
