Asin was in her make-up van yesterday, readying for the shoot of her Tamil film Kaavalkaran in Karaikudi, when a weird smell wafted around her and made her suddenly uneasy.
According to a source from the sets, within five minutes her make-up man had fainted and seconds later, Asin also started feeling breathless.
She had to be rushed to a hospital that was 20 kms from the location. The doctors there attributed her sudden illness to a gas leak.
Says the spokesperson of the actress, “Yes, it is true. There was a gas leak and Asin had to be rushed to hospital. But she’s fine and so is the rest of the crew. She has been discharged and has already resumed shooting.”
