The city police have put strict security arrangements in areas around the bustling malls and shopping centers across the city.

Long queues outside multiplexes and restaurants brought smiles back on the faces of shopkeepers at the malls who were expecting the business to be down this weekend. “I came here with my friends to see a film. Terror threats are normal now and we have become habitual to it. Terrorists cannot restrict us anymore,” said Neeti Nigam, one of the visitors at DT mall.

“There was no sign of panic on the faces of people. However, we all are aware about the prevailing terror threat after the recent bomb blast. People came out for shopping and watching films.

Even the shopkeepers in the malls are running their business smoothly. The mall authority is not taking any risk with the security,” said JK Gupta, manager, Sahara Mall.

“All shows this weekend are booked. We are happy that people are coming out to watch films with their families,” said a senior PVR official.
