At least 1,280 missing in Nagapattinam district

Complaints have been filed in eight police stations about persons missing since last Sunday's tsunami attack.

A total of 1,280 persons have been reported missing in Nagapattinam district since the tsunami disaster took place, police said.

Complaints have been filed in eight police stations about persons missing since last Sunday's tsunami attack.

In Nagapattinam complaints for 67 persons have been registered, 27 in Velipalayam, 52 in Nagore, 869 in Vailankanni, 8 in Kizhaiyur, 200 in Porayar, 54 in Thiruvenkadu and 3 in Thalainayiru.
