IN ORDER to upgrade the facilities for passengers in trains and at railway stations, general manager NER, Sukhbir Singh, inaugurated ATM service near first class gate of the railway station on Tuesday.
On the occasion he said that Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav had directed to provide modern facilities at railway stations.
This is the first SBI ATM at any railway station, he said.
Singh said that there was a plan to install ATMs at six railway stations including Domingarh, Chauri Chaura, Deoria, Mau, Khalilabad and Basti.
NER has also established a cyber café at the railway station ahnd there were 16 terminals in the cafe.
Delivering her views on this occasion, general manager of SBI, Arundhati Bhattacharya, said that SBI and railways had reached an agreement and 681
ATMs would be installed at various railway stations in the country.
