"This year around 10,000 students will appear in the exams of BA-I at the university as well as its constituent colleges while around 12000 and 10,000 students will appear at the BA-II and BA-III examinations respectively. Similarly, in BSc-I, a total of around 1800 and 1070 students will appear at the AU and the constituent colleges respectively while around 640 students of AU and 800 of the colleges will give their exams of BSc-II. In BSc-III, a total of around 1250 students will appear for the exams at all centres including at the colleges," said AU Exams Controller Prof HS Upadhyaya.

Addressing mediapersons on Thursday, Prof Upadhyaya said that in BCom-I around 1350 students of AU and 1950 students of the colleges would appear while 1000 AU students and around 1600 students of the constituent colleges would appear for the exams at the BCom-II level. "Around 800 students of AU and 1350 of the colleges would appear in the BCom-III exams," he added.

He said that from this year the varsity was introducing computerised attendance sheet that will have a scanned photograph of the examinee similar to the one pasted by him on the examination form and present on the admit card. "This will ensure that no impersonation of the examinee takes place," Prof Upadhyaya explained.

He informed that three teams of flying squad members will be functional this year. "One squad will focus on the colleges, one on the varsity and a separate one fort the women examinees. Teachers of both the university and colleges as well as the research scholars have been made members of the flying squad. This will be besides a team of senior teachers including Professors and Deans who will act as observers and will inspect all the centres to ensure a fair examination," Prof Upadhyaya added.
