There can be nothing more boring than to watch a piece of action unfold in front of your eyes when it's a script that you already know the ending to.

Thursday in Nagpur was one such day.
India succumbed to the second new ball in the morning. Australia, despite taking a first innings lead of 213, did not enforce a follow on.
The only alteration in the script, albeit a slight one, was the slow manner in which the Australians batted in the second innings.
Not that it matters much as probably it will not have any bearing on the match result. India will now have to bat for five sessions to save the Test and the series and will most likely be facing a score in the region of over 500 to win the Test.
On such occasions one always tends to flip through the pages of Indian cricket history and take inspiration from some glorious fightback that teams have made. The Kolkata Test against the same team is the one most referred to and it always rekindles faith in this team. If India could do it then, why not now?
