It seems that the administration and auto drivers are least concern about strike that is continuing for the last three years.

On Sunday, the people residing in Rapti Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Chargawan, Belipar, Nanda Nagar, Padri Bazar, Khajani, Khorabar, Sonbarsa and other localities faced problems to enter the city, as no conveyance was available on these routes.
District administration has launched a drive against overloading by the auto-wheelers.

Following the directive of district magistrate Dr Hariom, ADM city PK Agrawal has written a letter to the general manager UP Roadway Transport Corporation. He said at present the auto-rickshaw drivers are carrying the passengers from outskirts to the city but has requested to introduce the operation of city bus to carry the passenger in 20 km circle from the bus station.

He further directed all the police station incharge to deal with the auto drivers carrying more passengers with iron hand. The order issued by the district magistrate caused serious resentment among the auto operators.

On Sunday, the auto operators took out a procession and staged a demonstration at DIG office. The secretary of Taxi Tempo Union Ashish Kumar Shukla handed over a charter of demands to Yogi Adityanath and demanded him to intervene in the issue and to resolve their problems.

The operators convened a meeting on October 16 at Mohaddipur to discuss future course of action. Present of the association Yogendra Singh, Sushil Mishra has appealed the operators to ensure the success of the meeting.
