A bomb call from an unidentified person saying that an explosive has been placed in Avantika Express turned out to be hoax, police said on Thursday.

The railway enquiry office in Indore had recieved a call from an unidentified person on Wednesday night around 2130 hours about a bomb being placed in 2961 Avantika Express, they said.

However, search operations conducted at various stations on its route, after the train left Mumbai, concluded that the call was a hoax, police said adding efforts are on to trace the caller.
