The matter had to be deferred as a new judge for hearing the case is yet to be appointed in place of the Special judge VK Singh, who has been transferred.

Former BJP president LK Advani, former Union ministers MM Joshi and Uma Bharati, BJP general secretary Vinay Katiyar, senior VHP leader Ashok Singhal are among the eight accused facing trial in the matter.
