Justices R V Raveendran and H L Gokhale in their order staying pronouncement of the High Court verdict by a week
admitted that there were differences in the Bench.

"In view of the differences, place the matter before the Chief Justice of India for constituting a larger Bench,"
the judges said in their order.

Hearing a petition of retired bureaucrat Ramesh Chand Tripathi for deferment of the verdict, Justice Raveendran was
of the view that the plea should be dismissed while Justice Gokhale was of the opinion that a notice should be issued for
exploring the option of settlement.
