Three-time winners India lost to world No 3 Netherlands by a solitary goal in the first semi-final of the 15th Sultan Azlan Shah hockey tournament on Friday.

Both teams were goalless till the 65th minute when the Netherlands converted a penalty corner.

World's No 6 India, winners in 1985, 1991 and 1995, had topped Pool A to qualify for the semi-finals.

In the other semi-final, defending and Olympic champions Australia, who have won the Azlan Shah title four times, will play against New Zealand.
