THE STUDENTS of B Com Part II appearing for the optional paper of Advertising, organized by the Barkatullah University, were confused and puzzled on Friday as they reportedly got a question paper that had all the questions from first year syllabus of the same course.
The good thing was that only around 100 students had taken this paper as the option and thus an awkward situation was averted. The paper carries 45 marks.
The Principal of Career College Dr V S Singh registered a complaint to this effect with the Barkatullah University after the students at this centre reported the mix-up and threatened to boycott the exams. The principal said that he had forwarded the copies of syllabus of both first and second year courses and the question paper to the university.
The university authorities have however said that they are awaiting written complaint in this regard and then the matter would be investigated and if necessary the exam would be deemed cancelled and fresh exams would be held.
