PRIVATE B Ed college managements are confused over the two orders of the State Government, issued on Saturday. Today, members of the Pradeshik Shiksha Mahavidyalaya Prabandhan Sangh met informally and decided to approach the Government on Monday for clarity on the orders.
Government on Saturday had issued an order extending the last date of admission for students who have already been allotted seats till August 30 and college level admissions on vacant seats following that.
It also issued another order regarding fees that mentioned that colleges could not collect more than Rs 25,000 as annual fees as per the directive of the High Court.
However, the association of private B Ed colleges is in confusion regarding both orders. President of the Association Sanjay Pandey told Hindustan Times that as per decision of the University Coordination Committee (UCC) the
admissions to professional courses can continue till September 30 and the Government order will create utter confusion amongst students.
Similarly, he said, the interim order of the High Court regarding Rs 25,000 as fees was limited to twenty-two colleges and it was surprising that the Government extended it to all colleges.
He added further that admissions to half the seats were complete and most of the colleges have only charged Rs 15,000 as annual fees.

{{/usCountry}}If the Government had come out with this order earlier, colleges would have collected higher fees. There was no way enrolled students would pay the additional amount now. All these issues will be taken up with the Government on Monday, he said.
