Babri demolition hearing deferred till March 26

Special judge Riaz Ahmed deferred the matter after the CBI counsel and the witnesses could not appear in the court.

A special court in Raebareli, hearing the Babri masjid demolition cases against BJP leader and former prime minister LK Advani and seven others, on Saturday fixed March 26 as the next date for trial.

Special judge Riaz Ahmed deferred the matter after the CBI counsel and the witnesses could not appear in the court due to unavoidable circumstances.

Besides Advani, BJP leaders Murli Manohar Joshi and Vinay Katiyar, VHP leaders Ashok Singhal, Giriraj Kishore and Vishnu Hari Dalmiya, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti and Sadhvi Ritambhara are accused in the matter.
