Back on mission

The Mission: Impossible franchise has grossed $1.4 billion world wide. Mission Impossible IV is slated to be shot this summer and will release in 2011.

Actor Tom Cruise is set to reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in the action packed Mission: Impossible movie franchise. Cruise, 47, last appeared in Mission: Impossible III, after which he was fired by Paramount studio head Sumner Redstone, reports Radar Online.

Redstone had publicly blasted Cruise for his actions — his highly publicised jumping on the couch on Oprah Winfrey’s Show as he declared his love for Katie Holmes and his rants about Scientology.
