Badal forms panel to look into employees issues

A delegation of Punjab Mulazam Sangarsh Committee led by its convener Ranbir Dhillon on Friday called on Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and urged him to expedite the issuance of notification relating to the admissible allowances as per the recommendations of the Punjab Fifth Pay Commission.

A delegation of Punjab Mulazam Sangarsh Committee led by its convener Ranbir Dhillon on Friday called on Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and urged him to expedite the issuance of notification relating to the admissible allowances as per the recommendations of the Punjab Fifth Pay Commission.

The delegation also raised the issue of increasing the rate of increment, cash payment of revised pay arrears, notification for revised pension to the pensioners regularization of work charged, daily wagers and adhoc employees, third party insurance of government vehicles, hike in medical allowance besides upward revision of rural, border area, conveyance, project and traveling allowance.

The Chief Minister constituted a panel comprising Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister,Principal Secretary Finance, Secretary Personnel and the Secretary of the concerned departments under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary to look into these issues and hear the committee before taking a final decision, an official spokesman said here.

Badal reiterated that the state government was committed to safeguard the interests of its employees at all cost as they were the backbone of the state administration.
