The father and son duo, who sought exemption from personal appearance which was accepted, moved an application through their counsels. They said the charges be either altered or disposed off.

Special Judge GS Saran issued notice to the prosecution to reply to Badal's application by May 10 and posted the case for further hearing on May 19.

The court allowed an application of Sukhbir for the release of his passport following his plea that he had to go abroad on May five.

The prosecution filed an application seeking Income Tax documents of Badals in which they had declared all their assets whose valuation had been accepted by the IT department.

However, the court did not accept the plea saying it would first go through the documents.
