Bajaj two-wheeler sales up 26%

Bajaj Auto reported a 26% increase in its two-wheeler sales for the fiscal ended March 31 at 20,27,856 units

Bajaj Auto Ltd on Saturday reported a 26 per cent increase in its two-wheeler sales for the fiscal ended March 31 at 20,27,856 units as compared to 16,04,745 units in the last fiscal.

Sales of motorcycles for the company during the reporting fiscal increased 32 per cent to 19,12,224 units as against 14,49,710 units in FY-05, the company said in a release here.

Total two and three wheeler sales including exports during the fiscal increased 25 per cent to 22,79,862 units when compared to 18,26,798 units, it said.

Meanwhile, BAL reported a 30 per cent increase in total two-wheeler sales in March at 1,87,696 units, as against 1,44,861 units in the same month a year ago.

The company's motorcycle sales was up 37 per cent at 1,83,927 units in March as against 1,34,707 units in the same month last year, a company release said.

Sales of three-wheelers increased 31 per cent during March at 24,723 units as against 18,822 units in the same month a year ago, it said.

Exports of two and three-wheelers combined during the month increased 19 per cent to 28,998 units when compared to 24,422 units in the same period last year, it added.
