Obviously inspired by Bukhara, the city’s leading Frontier cuisine restaurant, Baluchi also has a signature dish which is a version of Bukhara’s Sikandari Raan. There’s some cuisine confusion – the menu has offerings from the Frontier and Lucknow as well, but the kitchen has a long way to go before it gets its takes on Ameenabad’s kebabs right. Order the Kasturi Kebab (this one’s for the vegetarians) and Malmali Seekh. Don’t miss the Gosht Handi Korma and Gosht Dum Biryani.
