India southpaw Yuvraj Singh has offered help to Irishman Niall O'Brien who lost his kit containing six bats after the India-Ireland match from the Chinnaswamy Stadium dressing room.
Niall, elder brother of Kevin O'Brien, uses Gary Nicolls bats and is now left desperately trying to search and procure new ones ahead of his team's match against the West Indies at the PCA Stadium in Mohali on March 11.
Suresh Raina, another Indian southpaw, has given him a bat.
There are reports that Niall has also contacted bat manufacturers in Jalandhar and Ludhiana to complete his kit.
According to the team's media manager, Barry Chambers, they have been assured that the missing kit would be found but they are also looking to buy new ones.
"Yuvraj Singh called up our manager yesterday and offered help in procuring new bats. We have also come to know that Gary Nicolls have a manufacturing unit nearby from where we can get the bats," he said.
Niall's bag had six bats including one SG bat given to him by Suresh Raina. "We are hoping that we get the goods in time," he added.

{{/usCountry}}But one is left confused as to why none of his team-mates, including brother Kevin, has come forward to help Niall. Barry explains that it is a "brand issues".
"Since Kevin uses a different brand of bats, it might not be helpful," he added.
