Online edition of BBC's Urdu is launching an interactive programme in three cities to discuss the current status of the language in India.

, is launching an interactive programme with its audience in three cities to discuss the current status of the language in India.

The 'India Online series' will be launched in Delhi on February 1, 2006 and will move on to Hyderabad engaging renowned personalities from the Indian media, politics and the entertainment industry, a BBC press release said.

In Delhi and Hyderabad, the bbcurdu.Com journalists will conduct panel discussions the subject of Urdu and the New Media, while in Mumbai a high-profile panel will discuss the relationship between Urdu and Bollywood and how it has changed over the years.
