During a meeting with the Cabinet sub-committee (CSC) on Wednesday, a delegation of the Bishnah Congress Committee (BCC) led by Gambhir Dev Singh Charak demanded tehsil status be given to niabat Arnia with its headquarter at Arnia, and two community development blocks, one at Bishnah and another in Arnia.
They also demanded that Bishnah tehsil be upgraded to sub-division with an SDM in place. Other demands included that the land falling under Arnia Patwar be divided into three individual and independent patwars.
The delegation also pressed for proper infrastructure for the niabat of Rehal and Khairi and also for the administrative blocks at Bishnah and Arnia be provided in place. The also urged the committee that limits of Bishnah and Arnia municipal committees be immediately extended as per the survey conducted by the government.
