BCCI issues showcause notice to Dalmiya

The former BCCI president has been given 15 days time to reply on the issue of PILICOM account.

The Board of Control of Cricket for India (BCCI) has issued a showcause notice to former president Jagmohan Dalmiya, asking him to reply on the issue of PILICOM account, raised by treasurer N Srinivasan at the February 21 working committee meeting.

Confirming this, BCCI executive secretary incharge Prof Ratnakar Shetty said that Mr Dalmiya has been given 15 days time to reply to the notice, which has been signed by board secretary Niranjan Shah.

Meanwhile, Mr Dalmiya, who addressed the press in Kolkata on Monday, has rubbished the claims made by the BCCI against him.

Mr Dalmiya said he would not hesitate to legal steps to clear his name.
