BCCL buy 9.9 pc in Dixon Tech

Dixon's alliance with BCCL is part of its aggressive plans for growth both in the domestic and international markets.

Bennett Coleman and Co Ltd (BCCL), promoter of the Times of India Group, has acquired a 9.9 per cent stake in the Rs 400 crore Dixon Technologies, the maker of Weston brand of consumer electronics.

Dixon has entered into this strategic alliance with BCCL as part of its aggressive plans for growth both in the domestic and international markets, the company said in a release today.

The company, which manufactures televisions and DVD players, has plans to rebuild the brand with latest technology and investment in R&D and marketing, it said.
