Sukhu said this while addressing people at Lanjyani and Palasi villages of Nadaun assembly constituency of the district on Friday evening.

Earlier, he was given a rousing reception by the locals when he reached there from Mandi.

The state Congress chief said he was highly indebted to the party cadre for supporting him even during crisis. He said the party would take care of them and only genuine party workers would be given party posts at all levels.
Sukhu gave a clarion call to the party cadre to be united and fan out in villages for the next general elections.

He lashed out at former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his son Anurag Thakur for commercialising politics in the state. The father-son duo did nothing for the common man and instead ruled the state like a family empire.
He said Thakur would face the ire of the people during the elections.

He said in Himachal Pradesh too, he and chief minister Virbhadra Singh were working in unison for taking the organisation ahead and to overturn the apple cart of the BJP in the Mandi bypoll and thereafter in the 2014 general elections of the Lok Sabha.
