THE BEATING Retreat ceremony will be held at the Motilal Nehru Stadium in the Lal Parade Ground on Sunday at 4.30 pm. Apart from Delhi, the Beating Retreat is held annually in Bhopal.
Governor Dr Balram Jakhar will be the chief guest on the occasion. The band artistes and instrumentalists of police will present a musical programme.
There will be no entry fee to watch the programme that will last over two hours. The brass band, pipe band and buglers will render folk, western, classical and popular tunes. The jawans of 3 EME Centre Bairagarh will also participate in the event.
Sub-Inspector RK Sharma will lead the Beating Retreat. The band artistes from battalions of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa will participate in the event. At sunset, a display of fireworks will be held.
