Perhaps it’s the short lived careers of female actors that’s prompting the likes of Kareena Kapoor to be in a mad rush to sign movies, left, right and center. How else does can one explain this flop (to date she doesn’t have a single hit which could be credited to her as her solo success) girl’s signing ten prestigious films in a span of two months?

If one takes stock of her recent films on the floors and some which she has signed, Bebo has her hands full with Deepa Mehta’s and Pritish Nandy’s next, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, Madhur Bhandarkar’s next, tentatively titled Page 3 based on the lives of journalists, Dharmesh Darshan’s Bewafaa, Rituparno Ghosh’s next opposite Anil Kapoor, Govind Nihalani’s Dev and JP Dutta’s LoC, to name a few.

Pray, what’s the big hurry? Is time running out for her?

If some close friends are to be believed, she has taken a lesson from her ‘ideal’ sis, Karisma’s life, who got stuck with Govinda as his permanent fixture in his brand of comedy and considered doing parallel cinema only after roles dried up.

What’s more, she even declined offers from the one and only Shyam Benegal once she decided to settle down for matrimony with long-time beau, Abhishek.

And we all know what happened to her love and consequently, her career - Karisma is left with no films, and is full time shooting for Sahara TV’s tele series, Karishma. Must say li’l Bebo has grown fast!

Maybe it would help if she matured as a performer as fast too!
