Apropos of the report ‘Edwina influenced Nehru on J&K', it is shocking that India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was influenced by Edwina to refer Kashmir to the UN.

Apropos of the report ‘Edwina influenced Nehru on J&K’ (July 18), it is shocking that India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who enjoyed immense love and respect from the people of India, was influenced by Edwina to refer Kashmir to the United Nations. If it is true, that Mountbatten used the Nehru-Edwina relationship to influence decisions which were not in our interest, then it can only be termed as betrayal of people’s faith.
