MAINTENANCE OF train coaches will get a boost in Indore as the Western Railway is introducing latest technology in its Coaching Depot in Indore. With this introduction, apart from having an attractive look, the train coaches will be cleaner.
In addition AC coaches in trains would have mobile chargers. Coaching Depot Officer Pranjol Chandra said here today that the Western Railway is introducing latest technology in Indore Coaching Depot which has received ISO-9001-2000.
With the introduction of latest technology, maintenance work will get a boost increasing safety measures in coaches. Now coaches will be cleaned with mechanised cleaning system under which both interiors and exteriors of the coaches will be cleaned with high-pressure jet cleaning machines.
In AC coaches, Western Railway is introducing mobile chargers. Besides, toilets in these coaches will be cleaned by using auto genitor system to ensure high quality cleaning. The Coaching Depot will also use the latest microburst system for air-conditioning which will upgrade the overall environment inside the trains.
Besides, the Depot has also started spray painting which will improve the look of the coaches. The Coaching Depot has also introduced screen-printing for destination boards to make them attractive and clearer.
