Bharat Nirman from March 12

THE SECOND phase of Information and Broadcasting Ministry’s Bharat Nirman Abhiyan — aimed at spreading awareness among the rural people about various welfare schemes of the government — would be initiated in Manavar tehsil headquarters of Dhar district from March 12-16.

A similar campaign had been organised in Jhabua, Khandwa and Betul districts in the first leg of the campaign. On the first day, a Swarojgar Sammelan would be organised while a district-level Lok Kalyan Shivir would be organised for the benefit of rural masses.

A workshop on agriculture, horticulture and fish farming would be held on March 14. The training of panch, sarpanch and parents-teachers’ association would also be organised.

The campaign would end on March 16 with an health and veterinary camp, an official release said here. A meeting for planning the campaign’s outline was held in Dhar recently, which was attended by the department heads concerned.

On the occasion, it was decided to seek cooperation from various departments like district panchayat, agriculture, education, health, horticulture, livestock farming, fisheries, NABARD, forest department, public health engineering, Agri-Science Centre, Madhya Pradesh Rural Roads Authority, electricity department, women and child development, panchayat and social justice, water resources, consumer protection, adivasi development, post and telegraph, various nationalised banks, BSNL, general insurance companies and LIC.
