BHEL gets Rs 82 cr contracts from APGenco

State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has bagged two orders valued at Rs 82 crore from Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation.

State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has bagged two orders valued at Rs 82 crore from Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation.

The orders are for supply of electromechanical equipment for 25x2 MW Nagarjunsagar hydroelectric dam project and 9 MW Sriramsagar hydroelectric project, a BHEL release said.

The Sriramsagar order is slated for completion in 29 months, while the Nagarjunsagar project would be commissioned within 26 months, it said.

BHEL's scope of work envisaged design, engineering, manufacture, supply and commissioning of turbines, generators and other related equipment.

The turbines and generators would be built at the company's Bhopal plant, it added.
