BHEL staff administered productivity pledge

THE ?PRODUCTIVITY Week 2006 activities? were launched yesterday with BHEL General Managers and Departmental Heads administering the Utpadakta Shapath (Productivity Pledge) wherein employees dedicated themselves to improving productivity in all spheres of work.

THE ‘PRODUCTIVITY Week 2006 activities’ were launched yesterday with BHEL General Managers and Departmental Heads administering the Utpadakta Shapath (Productivity Pledge) wherein employees dedicated themselves to improving productivity in all spheres of work.

This pledge was also administered on the shopfloors and in offices too. Like previous years, February 12-18 is being observed as the National Productivity Week’ on the theme ‘Knowledge Management for Productivity,’ said an official BHEL release.

The activities designed under the guidance of General Manager (P&D-Q) P Krishnan include display of banners announcing productivity week; departmental workshop on the theme; departmental reviews of productivity improvement projects & suggestions; review of status of improvement initiatives registered on on-line Improvement Projects Rewards Scheme

(IMPRESS) with the objective of enhancing participation of employees and sharing through email various presentation material to promote the theme. The special event of the week ‘Workshop on Knowledge Management’ for productivity coordinators was organised today at HRDC. General Manager (BEX) H C Bhatia who has been instrumental in introducing the Knowledge Management Portal on the BHEL Bhopal Intranet, chaired the function. General Manager (Mod) V L Onkar shared his ideas on knowledge and management.
