The action by the EPF Department came on Friday after the checking of records showed that the university had failed to deposit as much as Rs 30 lakh out of the total Rs 80 lakh in the EPF account of the employees. The bank accounts of the university were sealed in the process. However, on Monday, the amount was reportedly deposited paving way for de-sealing of the accounts, university sources said.

Registrar of the university, S B Goswami, however denied knowledge on sealing of accounts but conceded that there was some balance accrued on EPF account, but the university has made the payment recently.
