BHU M Ed entrance examination called off

Controller of examination, Dr. KP Upadhyay accepted that the M.Ed. (special) entrance examination had been cancelled due to unavoidable reasons. Dr. Upadhyay, however, denied specifying the reason behind the cancellation of the examination.

Sources said the M.Ed. (special) entrance examination was cancelled, as the answer books were not available at Delhi centre till the commencement of the examination on Tuesday morning. Now the cancelled examination would be conducted on June 2 on the same time and centre.

Meanwhile, as part of the ongoing entrance examination series of BHU, the examinations of M.Sc. and MA were conducted peacefully at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad centres on Wednesday.

Entrance examination of MA (Sociology, Arabi, Bengali, Chinese, Economics, English, French, German, Hindi, History, Indian Religion and Philosophy, Marathi, Pali, Persian, Political Science, Sanskrit, Telugu and Urdu) and M.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany and Computer Sciences) were held today.

Appointments: V-C of BHU Prof Panjab Singh has appointed Prof MNP Srivastava as dean of Law faculty.

The incumbent dean of Law faculty, Prof RA Malviya had requested to be relieved from the responsibilities of deanship and headship of Law faculty.

Besides, Prof Bansidhar has been appointed as the Head of Genetics and Plant Breeding Department at Institute of Agricultural Sciences.
