Bhupathi-Pierce enter semi-finals

Mahesh Bhupathi and Mary Pierce have advanced to the mixed doubles semis at Wimbledon tennis championship.

India's Mahesh Bhupathi and France's Mary Pierce advanced to the semi-finals of the mixed doubles at the Wimbledon tennis championship in London on Friday by beating the Belgian pair of Olivier Rochus and Kim Clijsters.

Bhupathi and Pierce won their quarterfinal encounter in straight sets 6-1, 7-5.

The unseeded Indian-French couple will now take on the winners of the match between the Australian pair of Todd Woodbridge and Samantha Stosur and Jonas Bjorkman of Sweden and Lisa Raymond of the US in the semi-finals.
