Big B and politics don't gell

The day Amitabh Bachchan joined SP indirectly through his wife I knew he was in for trouble. Indians play dirty politics and he would be victimised sooner or later. I was surprised when he showed his inclination towards SP only because Amar Singh came forward to help him at the time of his adversity. He should definitely be loyal to Amar Singh or his colleagues. But there was no need for him to associate himself with SP.

He was right for Congress Party at the time of Rajiv Gandhi. He could have by now grown to a much large and bigger status. But fortunately or unfortunately he discarded active politics at the time of Rajiv Gandhi itself to maintain the value of friendship and his long drawn family relationship with Nehru family.

I agree it was his best decision.

But at the same time I was surprised when he showed his inclination towards SP only because Amar Singh came forward to help him at the time of his adversity. Amitabh Bachchan should definitely be loyal to Amar Singh or his colleagues who were friends in need and hence friend indeed.

But there was no need for him to associate himself with party like SP, far inferior in many respects to bigger party like Congress party. After all politics is the dirtiest profession in our country. There is no room for gentlemen here. One who abuse and can bear with abuse by others can only survive and prosper in politics.
