Bihar court exonerates Lalu of helicopter landing case

A Bihar court on Saturday dismissed a complaint charging former railway minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad of landing an IAF helicopter on the nationalat highway in course of undertaking an aerial survey of the floods in Bihar on August 1, 2007 without a prior permission.

A Bihar court on Saturday dismissed a complaint charging former railway minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad of landing an IAF helicopter on the nationalat highway in course of undertaking an aerial survey of the floods in Bihar on August 1, 2007 without a prior permission.

Sub-divisional Magistrate (West), Muzaffarpur, T K Sinha dismissed the complaint filed by a senior advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha.

Ojha in his complaint had accused Prasad and former union minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh with landing the IAF helicopter on National Highway at Maniari without an authoritative permission on August 1, 2007 while undertaking a survey of the flood-affecetd areas in tirhut division of Bihar.

When contacted, Ojha said he would move superior court against the order.
