The Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said on Sunday the list was being prepared to catch the corrupt officials.

Alleging that there was wide-spread corruption in the implementation of Indira Awas Yojna and other developmental schemes during the erstwhile RJD regime, he said the government was probing irregularities in the scheme across the state.

The officials found guilty would be dealt with sternly according to the law, he said and referred to the arrest of deputy development commissioner of Supual district in connection with corruption in Indira Awas Yojna.

Modi, who reviewed developmental works in this district, said about 7000 dwellings under the yojna were badly constructed. The figure was a whopping 2-3 lakh in the state.

The RJD government despite its slogan of 'social justice' either did not spent the money allocated by the then NDA government at the Centre for the welfare of those living below the poverty line or grossly "misused" it, he claimed.
