Bike robbers strike in Noida

Armed men on bikes created havoc in Noida with as many as six incidents of snatching and robberies being reported on Monday evening, reports Kapil Datta.

Armed men on bikes created havoc in Noida with as many as six incidents of snatching and robberies being reported on Monday evening.

In the first incident, two men on a bike snatched a purse containing Rs 20,000 cash, gold ring and other items from Akansha, a bank manager, when she was returning to her Sector 62 home on Monday night.

Delhi resident Monika Mathur was robbed of her gold bangles, diamond earrings, gold chain and mobile phone at gunpoint by two men on a bike in the same sector on Monday night.

In the third incident, Inderjeet Roy, a BPO employee, was bashed up by two men on a bike near the Rajni Gandha Crossing, who then took away his mobile and cash. The incident took place around 11 pm on Monday.

In another case of snatching, motorcycle-borne men snatched the phones of two friends, Narender and Shivang. Another lady, Shweta Sharma, was robbed of her mobile phone and some valuables in a similar manner.

Anil Kumar, a DTC driver, lodged a complaint at Sector 58 police station that some men robbed two batteries from his bus after it had broken down and was parked on NH 24.
