Bishop of Orthodox church passes away
Metropolitan Mathews Mar Epiphanios, Bishop of the Kollam Diocese of the Malanakara Orthodox Church, died here today, church sources said.

Metropolitan Mathews Mar Epiphanios, Bishop of the Kollam Diocese of the Malanakara Orthodox Church, died here today, church sources said.
He was 81 and had been undergoing treatment in a private hospital for old age related problems for the last few days.
A graduate in Physics, Epiphanios had taught in schools before choosing the priestly vocation.
He was ordained as a priest in 1957.
The mortal remains of the departed metropolitan would be interned at St Thomas Orthodoc Cathederal here tomorrow.
