A new-born girl, snatched away by a stray dog from inside a hospital ward a few hours after her birth on September 17, died on Monday night.

She succumbed to the dog-bite injuries on her stomach after battling for life for more than two weeks in the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The dog-bite caused some critical internal infections leading to her death, hospital sources said.
