SAMAJWADI PARTY candidate from Bidhnu block for Block Pramukh poll, Abhiram Singh, son of senior SP leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Shukhram Singh Yadav, was accused of intimidating his rival BJP candidate, Ramesh Yadav.

Talking to newsmen here on Thursday BJP district president (south) Radhey Shyam Pandey levelled allegations of intimidation and issuing threats of dire consequences by SP candidate from Bidhnu block, Abhiram Singh.
“The SP candidate is openly issuing threats to BJP candidate and forcing him not to contest the election,” Pandey said.
The Block Development Committee (BDC) members were also intimidated by Abhiram Singh and asked to vote in favour of him, Pandey alleged.
“Misuse of state power has become an order of the day at Bidhnu. The BDC members are also being offered houses under Indira Vikas Awas. Apart from this, a sum of Rs 30,000 is also being offered to BDC members by the SP candidate,” Pandey alleged.
Those BDC members who refused to accept bribe were being intimidated and issued threats, Pandey further said.
Expressing his anger at the apathy of senior police official, Pandey said, “On February 2, a BJP delegation met SSP PC Meena and demanded deployment of security guards for BJP candidate Ramesh Yadav but till date no step has been taken by the SSP.”

Pandey also emphasised upon the deployment of election observers to ensure the free and fair elections.
Pandey also demanded that no person should be allowed to accompany a BDC member within the radius of at least 200 meters from the polling booth.
He added that even the candidate and his agent should stay outside the polling both.
Co-ordinator of Bidhnu block Ram Deo Shukla pointed out specific instances of harassment of BDC members by Abhiram Singh.
“The SP is leaving nothing to chance to ensure the victory of its candidate.
Even the district administration has become immune to all the complaints we have lodged,” Shukla said. The BJP candidate Ramesh Yadav, former MP Shyam Behari Mishra and BJP MLA Salil Vishnoi were also present on the occasion.
