Over 500 BJP activists were taken into custody for staging a demonstration on the Amarnath land issue in Bangalore today.

The activists, led by Party's National General Secretary Anant Kumar staged a protest at MG Road.

The party workers carried placards and banners relating to the Amarnath stir and shouted slogans.

Police said 520 activists were taken into custody and later released.
