Accompanied by district BJP president and local MLA Govind Singh Thakur, state BJP vice-president Ram Swaroop Sharma and Mandi Lok Sabha constituency BJP in charge Shishu Bhai Dharma, Thakur visited Bashing, Kais, Larankelo, Sarsai, Sajla and Bahang villages of Manali constituency.

Addressing villagers at Bashing, Thakur said Congress candidate Pratibha Singh had no moral right to seek votes because as an MP of the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency, she failed to perform miserably.

He further alleged that after having been elected as MP, she did not even thank the voters of the Mandi seat.

Lashing out at the state Congress government, Thakur regretted that five months of the Congress rule in the state had proved a failure.

He accused the state Congress government of acting in a revengeful and vindictive way by threatening to order inquiries.

He lambasted at the state government for changing the names of development schemes, which were named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The BJP candidate alleged that the Congress misled the youths with the promise of unemployment allowance to gain political mileage. He said now the Congress was again misleading the youth by assuring them skill development allowance.
