"Eighty per cent of the paddy fields have been affected due to inadequate rainfall in the state, Das said, which would lead to large-scale migration from the state,

The BJP would soon apprise the Jharkhand governor, K Shankar Narayanan, in this regard.

He said BJP would take out a torchlight procession and organise demonstration in front of district headquarters across the state from August 9 to August 14 to highlight the problems being faced by general masses.

Das also expressed concern over the prevailing corruption in National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) and accused the Congress of "playing the role of a middleman."
