Talking to media after attending the Working Group II meeting on Centre State Relations, BJP state president Ashok Khajuria said that the state government should first probe the matter and then arrest the accused officers otherwise it would lower the morale of the security forces countering militancy in the strife torn Valley.

"I agree fake encounter is a heinous crime against humanity and is clearly a human rights violation, but government should probe it properly and then arrest the officers who are found guilty," the BJP president added.

Khajuria said that a few aberrations should not be taken as the black spot on the working of security forces. He reminded that Jammu and Kashmir security forces including state police fight militants with iron hands to save innocent civilians.

"There are black sheeps in ever field but all are not corrupt," Khajuria said. He further reminded, "It were the security forces who saved lives of ministers, legislatures and employees in the civil secretariat, when militants struck there in Jammu. Not only that the security personnel are daily saving lives of peoples in the entire Kashmir valley from the terrorists."
